BIO—
Cynthia Phuong Anh Lê
(they/them) is a queer Vietnamese American artist based in Oakland, working across film, sound, food, performance, and spatial installation. Their multidisciplinary practice often blends gastronomy and performance to question the boundaries between art, culture, and sensory perception. Rooted in ritual and memory, their work explores grief, intergenerational distance, and spiritual return. Cynthia is also a chef, DJ, community bathing grounds steward, and student of traditional medicine—practices that shape their path as a cultural worker committed to building futures grounded in care, resilience, and reimagined kinship
