But why kelp?
Overview:
Seaweed farming is highly sustainable. According to Project Drawdown, expanding sustainable seaweed farming to 13.39–25.14 million hectares by 2050 could sequester an additional 2.50–4.72 gigatons of carbon dioxide.
It’s an industry on the rise— global seaweed yields doubled from 13.5 million tons in 2005 to 31.6 million tons in 2016.
Kelp in particular is nutrient dense and contains essential vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin K, Magnesium, Iron, and loads of antioxidants.
We decided to design a mobile app for kelp-infused recipes.
